OUR MASSAGES
Our massages:
-Lymphatic drainage: it is a delicate form of massage that stimulates the body’s lymphatic system, improving the metabolism, helping the body to eliminate waste and toxins and providing a boost to the immune system. It is especially useful for individuals who lead sedentary lifestyles, or those who want to reduce puffiness or swelling.
- Ayurvedic massage: it works on two levels. On a physical level, it relaxes the body, improves the muscles tone, the flexibility of the vertebral column and joints, blood and lymphatic circulation, and invigorates your skin. On a psychological level, it nourishes the mind, healing from stress.
- Hot Stone massage: the stones release slowly their heat according to the sympthoms to be treated. The therapy is coupled up with the action of oils and scents.
- Aromatic for the face and the body: it is an extremely gentle massage which is applied to the body, face and scalp, with slow and deep pressures. The immediate result is to relieve from any physical tension, but the most important goal is that it rebalances the energy within the individual.
- Connective massage: is a form of intense massage therapy that aims to release myofascial restrictions in the body, and to break up any restrictive scar tissue and relieve chronic tension, especially before other forms of massage or sport treatments.
- Sports massage: it aims to improve the suppleness and flexibility of muscles and joints, improve blood circulation, speed up the healing of damaged or stressed muscles, tissues and joints, and prevent future muscle and tendon injuries.
- Reflexology: it works on the principle that every organ and system of the body has a corresponding point or zone in the feet. Light pressure is applied to massage each of the points on the toes, feet and ankles to release tension, remove energy blockages, disperse accumulations of calcium and uric acid, stimulate blood circulation and promote healing of both body and mind.
- Shiatsu: Like acupuncture, shiatsu is based on the holistic system of traditional Chinese medicine, where illness is thought to result from imbalances in the natural flow of energy, or qi (pronounced "chee") through the body. Shiatsu therapists use finger and palm pressure on energetic pathways, called meridians to improve the flow of qi.
- Shirodara: Shirodhara derives from the Indian Ayurvedic tradition. "Shiro" means "head" and Dhara means "pouring". It involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead ("the third eye").
- Tui Na:it is a hands-on-body treatment using acupressure that is a modality of Chinese medicine whose purpose is to bring the body into balance. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll/press and rub the areas between each of theh joints (known as the eight gates) to open the body's defensive (wei) chi and get the energy moving in both the meridians and the muscles.
