MEDIAEVAL VILLAGES
The first place to visit is Populonia, an ancient village overlooking Baratti Bay, with its Roman and Medieaval ruins, the shops and restaurants selling traditional Tuscan produce. To the north, San Vincenzo, a seaside town, famous for its night life and inland small, traditional villages such as Campiglia Marittima, Suvereto, Sassetta, famous for their history, their characteristic buildings and their excellent wine.
We cannot forget about Piombino, with its important fort, the archeological museum and the harbour which connects the main land to Elba Island.
